Multiplication Battleship: Instructions
Goal: Be the first player to find and “sink” all of your opponent’s ships by using multiplication facts.
1. Set up your ships
- On **My Battleship** grid, secretly draw your ships.
- Ships go in straight lines - horizontal or vertical.
- Ships **cannot touch** (not even diagonally).
- Flip a coin or choose a player to go first.
2. Take turns to “shoot”
- On your turn, pick a coordinate by saying a multiplication fact with the answer, for example:
“6 × 4 = 24”.
- That means you are shooting at **row 6, column 4** on your opponent’s grid (**Opponent’s Battleship**).
- Your opponent quickly checks the multiplication (using their head or the small multiplication chart):
- If the answer is wrong: the shot does not count → mark nothing and your turn ends.
- If the answer is correct: the shot counts → check that coordinate for Hit/Miss.
3. Hit or miss
- Your opponent checks their **My Battleship** grid.
- If a ship is there → they say **“Hit!”.
- If nothing is there → they say **“Miss!”.
- Mark the result on your **Opponent’s Battleship** grid (e.g., X for miss, ● for hit).
4. Sinking a ship
- When you hit all squares of one ship, your opponent says **“Sunk!”.
- Circle or highlight the whole ship on your tracking grid.
The first player to sink ALL opponent ships wins.
